GPR Concrete Scanning
Bi-TAS provides GPR concrete scanning for existing buildings and civil engineering structures. Ground penetrating radar helps gather information within concrete without opening up every survey location.
Scan before drilling or cutting
We use real-time concrete scanning to help identify reinforcement positions and mark findings for drilling or cutting avoidance. A survey is planned around the intended works, access and the information required by your project team.
Reinforcement mapping and structural surveys
GPR surveys can support investigation of reinforcement layouts and concrete construction. Where appropriate, we combine radar with EM/Ferroscan rebar scanning and targeted verification to build a clearer picture of the structure.
Understand the survey limitations
Results depend on factors such as reinforcement congestion, concrete condition, survey depth and access. Scanning cannot guarantee that every embedded feature will be identified. We explain relevant limitations and agree whether additional investigation is needed.
Mark-outs or a survey report
The deliverable can include site marking or recorded survey findings for engineering assessment, depending on your brief. Send drawings, the scan area and details of the planned works so we can recommend a practical scope.
